[b]Iona -2 (4.4* NCAAB POD)[/b] I love Iona here tonight coming off a loss most teams might be in for another let down, but here I think they get back on track. Especially since this team has gotten sloppy blowing 17 and 18 point leads in their last two losses. They got off to a 20-2 lead at Siena in their last game and they are very well capable of doing similar things vs. Fairfield. The Stags and the Gaels were picked to finish 1 and 2 in the MAAC Conference and this is a very big game and I’m picking Iona to come out on top as Fairfield is not a very good team at home and never have been. It’s because they play off campus in Bridgeport so their home court really lacks the intensity of an on campus electricity. They are actually 2-11 ATS in their last 13 as a home dog. Iona is shooting 50.7% on the road and 76% from the FT line and they are a better rebounding team than Fairfield. The Stags will have their hands full with Iona Forward Glover who is a beast nearly averaging a double double. Overall there is more experience on Iona’s starting line. Fairfield has also gotten in a shooting funk shooting just 39.6% in their last 5 games including allowing 46.2% to opponents. I think Iona has learned from their blown leads they have to play a full game and against a team that they should beat they will play a full game tonight. |
